Global Profile of Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology

The Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program prepares future professionals with applied competencies in industrial process technology, sustainable manufacturing, renewable energy, water and wastewater treatment, resource management, and environmental sustainability. Supported by Biodiesel Teaching Factory, Voca Water, industry partnerships, and the Integrated Teaching Factory Ecosystem of the Vocational School, the program provides students with authentic professional experiences while strengthening technical competence, innovation capabilities, and global employability. As part of the UNDIP Vocational Excellence Ecosystem 2030, the program contributes to the development of sustainable industrial solutions and future-ready professionals for the global workforce.

Amid the global industrial transformation toward energy efficiency, a circular economy, and sustainable development, the demand for professionals capable of managing industrial processes safely, efficiently, innovatively, and in an environmentally friendly manner continues to grow. The TRKI Study Program is designed to produce graduates with strong technical competencies, applied skills, and problem-solving abilities that are relevant to the needs of future industries.

Through a practice-based curriculum, applied projects, industrial laboratories, competency certification, and collaborations with various industry partners, students are equipped with skills in industrial process operations, chemical technology, water and wastewater treatment, renewable energy, energy management, process safety, quality control, and various technologies that support sustainable industries.

As part of Vocational Excellence, the TRKI Study Program integrates academic learning with professional experience through the Integrated Teaching Factory Ecosystem of the Diponegoro University Vocational School.

Students gain direct learning experiences through various Teaching Factories and applied learning centers such as the Biodiesel Teaching Factory and Voca Water, which serve as real-world learning platforms in renewable energy, water treatment, resource efficiency, and the development of technologies that support green industry and sustainable development.

In addition, students participate in various applied projects that support the concepts of green industry, circular economy, resource efficiency, and sustainable manufacturing. Through these experiences, students not only understand theory but are also able to design and implement practical solutions to industrial and environmental challenges.

The TRKI Study Program places Industry Collaboration as one of the main pillars of its educational development. Partnerships with manufacturing, energy, petrochemical, food processing, water treatment, and other industrial sectors provide students with opportunities to gain professional experience aligned with workforce needs.

Beyond technical competencies, the TRKI Study Program also strengthens Global Employability by developing professional communication skills, digital literacy, competency certifications, and an understanding of global industry standards and sustainability principles. With these capabilities, graduates are expected to adapt and contribute in both national and international industrial environments.

As part of the UNDIP Vocational Excellence Ecosystem 2030, the TRKI Study Program is committed to producing graduates who are competent, professional, innovative, and possess integrity in supporting industrial transformation toward more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly production systems.

Through the spirit of “From Vocational Excellence to Global Recognition,” the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program continues to contribute to the vision of the Diponegoro University Vocational School toward becoming a World-Class Vocational School by 2030, while delivering technological innovations and solutions that benefit industry, society, and the environment.
